"Eddie" must surely be the most celebrated Russell Terrier ever!

Starring in 192 episodes of the award-winning comedy, he received more fan mail at the peak of the show's popularity than any other actor, not to the amusement of Kelsey Grammer many said.

Moose who played Eddie for ten years (a part later shared with his son, Enzo) was born in Florida on Christmas Eve 1990. He turned out to be so much of a handful that his original owners gave up this troubled terrier to the "Birds and Animals Unlimited", a company which supplied animals for TV and movie productions.

He flew to LA at the age of two and began his new life in show-biz. Six months into training, he won the role on Frasier. Moose's ability to hold a long hard stare at "Frasier" became a running gag in the hit show and sealed the deal.

Earning about 10,00 dollars per episode, Moose retired after a decade on the show with a healthy 3.2 million to his name.

Not bad for a pup who couldn't be house trained!

This feisty dog has it's origin firmly set in fox hunting.

Stemming from dogs bred by Reverend John Russell over 200 years ago in England, this small, athletic terrier became an ideal hunting companion. With its' courage and stamina, the Jack Russell's ability to chase out foxes from their burrows was second to none.

Principally white with either a smooth, rough or mixed coat (known as a "broken-coated") this handsome fella comes in three similar versions of the breed: the Jack Russell, the Parson's Terrier and the Russell Terrier. They mostly only vary in size but all have the same hunter instinct.

In recent years they have increasingly played the part of loving family pets and companions. They'll fill your life with laughter and charm but best not to forget, these are working dogs at heart and they'll need training, supervision and structure. Not generally suited for apartments or small homes, the Jack Russell is born and bred a hunter and ideally best suited with an experienced dog owner.
